Overview

This chapter mainly introduces how to select Topics, start and stop data recording using the built‑in recorder or self‑developed MCAP pipeline, including file persistence, data fetching, format parsing, storage capacity check, and controlled cleanup.

• Applicable Versions:
  • Simplified recording stack for baseline devices.
  • Platform Pipeline: The platform‑edition recording stack shall be used only within the verification scope explicitly specified in the capability matrix.
• Risk Level Description:
  • Controllable Risk: Conventional data recording falls under controllable risk.
  • High Risk: Modifying Topic configuration files, restarting recording‑related system services, deleting recording directories, or manipulating the root file system.
• Content Boundaries:
  • Completion Criteria: Service response, file persistence, MCAP parsability, Topic quantity, and time range serve as completion criteria.
  • Cleanup Boundaries: During cleanup, only specific directories explicitly generated by the current test example may be deleted. Wildcards or recursive deletion of upper‑level system directories are strictly prohibited.
